CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN)- The West Virginia State Auditor’s Office is proud to announce the launch of its fully redesigned official website, scheduled to go live on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The updated platform will provide West Virginians with improved access to essential services, financial transparency tools, resources, and timely updates from the Auditor’s Office. Expanded transparency tools allow residents to view state expenditures, revenues, and public fiscal data.
As West Virginia’s constitutional bookkeeper, the State Auditor oversees a variety of critical financial functions that ensure the lawful and responsible use of public funds. The new website represents a step forward in supporting transparency, accountability, and community engagement throughout the state. Features of the new site include:
Enhanced availability of public financial documents, audit reports, and related records
Better access to services for local governments, payroll, county collections, securities oversight, and fraud reporting
A ‘What’s New’ tab focuses on regular updates for residents and media partners with access to every press release from the office.
State Auditor Mark Hunt’s overall goal for the website is to allow West Virginians full transparency. “Our goal is to make West Virginians feel empowered and informed regarding the management of their funds. It brings key forms, information, and updates into one place so people can quickly find what they need,” said State Auditor Mark Hunt. “It allows full transparency and gives the people a simpler way to connect with the State Auditor’s Office.”
The new website will launch on December 3, 2025, at wvsao.gov. The Auditor’s office welcomes the community to explore the new site.
