Beckley, W.Va. (WVDN) – West Virginia State Treasurer Larry Pack will offer keynote remarks at the Annual Client Showcase and Awards Banquet being hosted by the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA), and its entrepreneurial program the WV Hive. The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Historic Black Knight Club in Beckley, W.Va.

Jina Belcher, Executive Director of the NRGRDA, said Treasurer Pack has a strong business and public service background and he is a champion of local community and economic development. “We appreciate his steadfast support and championing for the New River Gorge region,” said Belcher.

She said the Client Showcase and Awards Banquet are free for the public, but registration is required. Visit this Eventbrite link to secure your spot.

“We encourage the community to join our staff, clients and the government leaders we serve throughout southern West Virginia,” said Belcher. “Each year this meaningful event allows us to reflect on the past year’s achievements, explore exciting initiatives for the future, and connect with leaders and partners who are shaping the New River Gorge Region.”

Alongside the banquet, attendees can explore the WV Hive Client Showcase — featuring innovative entrepreneurs and local businesses from across the 13-county region. Discover new products, meet inspiring founders, and see firsthand how entrepreneurship is transforming Southern West Virginia.

Born and raised in eastern Kanawha County, Treasurer Pack graduated from East Bank High School and earned his B.S. Degree in Accounting from the West Virginia Institute of Technology.

After graduation, Treasurer Pack practiced as a CPA for 12 years with Herman & Cormany CPAs, A.C., where he provided tax, accounting and consulting services to businesses throughout West Virginia. He then co-founded the accounting firm, Pack Hawley Lambert & Burdette, which later merged with Suttle and Stalnaker.

Treasurer Pack has been a successful business entrepreneur for decades and is passionate about job creation, economic growth and elderly care in West Virginia. He was the founder and CEO of Stonerise Healthcare LLC, which served West Virginia and southeastern Ohio through skilled nursing centers, home health, hospice and therapy services from 2009 to 2022. Prior to Stonerise, Treasurer Pack owned and operated six other health care centers across West Virginia.

In 2020, Treasurer Pack was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates representing Kanawha County. He served as State Revenue Secretary and Senior Advisor to Governor Jim Justice from 2022 to 2024.

He has served on various boards, including the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, West Virginia Health Right, West Virginia Healthcare Association and the West Virginia Alzheimer’s Association. He is currently the West Virginia National Committeeman for the National Republican Party and an active member of Bible Center Church.

The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority’s mission is to initiate, facilitate and support the economic and community development efforts within the counties of Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh, and Summers. More can be found at https://nrgrda.org/

WV Hive assists entrepreneurs throughout its 13-county service area, including Raleigh, Fayette, Summers, Nicholas, Webster, Greenbrier, Pocahontas, Monroe, Mercer, McDowell, Wyoming, Logan, and Mingo counties. More information about the WV Hive can be found at https://wvhive.com/.
