RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) – After initial reports of a possible active shooter situation in Rainelle earlier this evening, the Greenbrier County Sheriff has released the following information:
“There is not, nor was there at any time an active shooter in Rainelle. There was an adult male shot by an adult female during a possible domestic dispute. The shooter is in custody of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, and the firearms have been recovered. The victim has been transported to a trauma center.
“The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and will release more details when the facts are gathered.”
