CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) – Salango Law and the Charleston Dirty Birds are launching a statewide classroom contest to spread cheer and spotlight the creativity of students and teachers across all 55 counties.
“West Virginia’s largest holiday light display is looking for the most joyful classroom in the state to help us celebrate this season,” said Ben Salango, founder of Salango Law. “Salango Law Light the Night is all about bringing people together from across the state and we’re excited to invite classrooms to share the joy that makes this time of year special.”
Starting today, classrooms interested in entering can post a short video on the teacher’s or school’s Facebook page showing their holiday spirit through carols, decorations, skits or other creative ideas. They must tag @SalangoLaw and @CharlestonDirtyBirds to officially enter. The deadline to enter is Wednesday, December 3 and a winner will be announced on Friday, December 5.
“This is a fun way to connect schools and families from across the state to what’s happening here in Charleston during the holiday season,” said Andy Shea, CEO and owner of the Charleston Dirty Birds. “We’re thrilled to celebrate teachers and students as part of Salango Law Light the Night this year.”
The winning classroom will receive free admission to Salango Law Light the Night, ice skating passes and a pizza party on the Dirty Birds Party Deck. Transportation is the responsibility of the school.
Opening night for Salango Law Light the Night is set for November 21 and will be open every day through January 1 except for Christmas Day. For more information on Salango Law Light the Night, visit www.dblightthenight.com.
