WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – Get ready for an afternoon of fun, friendship, and furry adventures! The White Sulphur Springs Public Library invites children and families to a special book launch and signing for Travels with Eleanor in Arthurdale by Linda Zimmer, with charming watercolor illustrations by Jeanne Brenneman, on Saturday, November 15, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
In this delightful story, Fala, the mischievous little Scottie dog who belonged to President Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, sneaks into Eleanor’s roadster—and the two set off on a grand adventure through the West Virginia hills! Together they discover Arthurdale, a small village filled with love, laughter, and happily ever afters.
Children will enjoy story readings, puppets, and a chance to meet the author and illustrator in person. Signed copies of the book will be available—$20 for hardbacks and $13 for paperbacks—the perfect keepsake or gift for young readers.
