CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) — The West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WV SBDC) is pleased to announce that Dawn Nolan has joined the team as Network Communicator. Nolan will lead strategic communications for both the WV SBDC and WV BusinessLink, promoting the WV SBDC’s statewide mission of empowering entrepreneurs and small business owners through impactful messaging.
A Huntington native and Marshall University graduate, Nolan has more than a decade of professional experience in communications, marketing and public relations, much of which has been for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She is also an established features writer whose work is regularly published in a number of local and regional magazines.
“As a West Virginian, I’m deeply passionate about my home state and its people, and I’m committed to seeing both thrive,” Nolan said. “Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with entrepreneurs, sharing their stories and helping them promote their businesses. I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to build on that experience and spread the word about the WV SBDC and WV BusinessLink and the services and resources available to small business owners.”
“We are delighted to welcome Dawn to the team,” WV SBDC State Director, Will Miller, said. “She brings a strong skillset and valuable experience that will significantly contribute to the WV SBDC’s efforts. With her assistance, we will raise awareness of the WV SBDC across the state.”
