GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier County Republican Club Scholarship Fund has awarded two scholarships of $1,500 each for the 2025-26 academic year.
Hailey Elmore, the daughter of Jared and JoAnna Elmore of Ronceverte, is a sophomore at WVU majoring in Animal and Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Human Nutrition. Hailey is a 2024 graduate of Greenbrier East High School. Her current plans are to seek a master’s degree and, eventually, a Ph.D. with a particular interest in the research of celiac disease and helping others to manage their diets and gastrointestinal problems.
Elmore would like to remain in Greenbrier County to be near her family and to help fellow Greenbrier residents with the growing interest in diet and nutrition, as well as in food as medicine. Elmore also holds a Promise Scholarship and a State Fair of West Virginia Scholarship.
Angel Grace Pritt is a freshman at WV Wesleyan University and the daughter of Amanda Pritt of White Sulphur Springs. Pritt is a 2025 graduate of Greenbrier East High School, studying in the pre-nursing curriculum with plans to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing and become an itinerant emergency room nurse. She is also considering a career as a nurse practitioner. Pritt also holds a WVW Presidential and a WVW Service scholarship.
The Republican Club Scholarship Fund eligibility requirements are being a Greenbrier County resident and attending a West Virginia college, university or community/technical school. Applications may be obtained by calling 304-641-1205.
