FAIRLEA W.Va. (WVDN) – With only a few weekends left before Christmas, there’s no better time to start shopping for the perfect gift. With that in mind, The American Heritage Music Hall presents the Winter Wonderland Craft & Vendor Fundraiser Show on Friday, Nov. 14, and Saturday, Nov. 15. Area crafters and vendors will be set up in the Cecil H. Underwood Youth Center at the State Fair of West Virginia for a weekend of festive fun.

“We need the community to come out and support our area crafters and vendors, and start their Christmas shopping,” says Kay Shafer, fundraiser organizer for American Heritage Music Hall.

In addition to a large selection of products and a concession stand, the Christmas spirit will be alive and well, with a special mailbox available for children to drop off their letters to Santa Claus. For those who wish to donate to the American Heritage Music Hall’s annual toy drive, new and unwrapped toys will be accepted for area children during the craft show. These toys will be distributed at the annual children’s Christmas party in December.

If you are a crafter, artist or vendor representative and are interested in participating in this year’s craft show, you can rent a 10×10 space for $40, which covers both Friday and Saturday. With approximately 65 spaces available, applications will be accepted until all spots are filled. Returning crafters and vendors will have until Nov. 8 to submit their application if they wish to secure their previous spot. Otherwise, spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We’ve had a lot of great support,” says Shafer. “Everyone is excited about returning, and I think we’ll have a full house.”

The Winter Wonderland Craft & Vendor Fundraiser Show will be held in the Cecil H. Underwood Youth Center, located on the grounds of the State Fair of West Virginia at 947 Maplewood Avenue in Lewisburg. This show is free and open to the public. Event hours are Friday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Saturday night, everyone is invited back to the Cecil H. Underwood Youth Center from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for an evening of live music and dancing. There will be a $10 cover charge for this event. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge, and all ages are welcome.

For more information on The Winter Wonderland Craft & Vendor Fundraiser Show or for a crafter/vendor application, contact Kay Shafer at 304-646-3580 or kayshafer554@yahoo.com.
