Heather Dawn Hefner, 45, of Neola (White Sulphur Springs), passed away on October 16, 2025, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 11, 1980, in Low Moor, VA, and is the daughter of Kenneth and Darlene Fogus.

Heather was an Elementary Teacher at White Sulphur Springs Elementary and a member of Neola Baptist Church, where she was very involved.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew; son, Remington; daughter, Cora; parents, Kenneth and Darlene Fogus; brother, Lonnie Fogus (Brittany) and their children, Alex, Quinn, and Maddie; as well as numerous friends, her church family, and her teacher colleagues.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Alvon Living Word Church with Pastor Ralph Hubbard and Pastor C. J. Cole. Interment will follow at the Mays-Trainor Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Peoples Bank to the Andrew and Heather Hefner account.
