LAS VEGAS (WVDN) – Just in time for Halloween, The64.com is launching the scariest tournament of the year: America’s Best Haunted Destination, where fans vote for the creepiest site in the nation. This first-of-its-kind bone-chilling bracket begins Oct. 16 and runs until Nov. 2.
From ghost towns, eerie prisons, haunted hotels, and abandoned asylums, 64 of the nation’s most notorious destinations are facing off in a six-round showdown. Fans can vote for free at The64.com, where each round brings new matchups and the chance to win prizes.
Coast-to-coast contenders range from the eerie corridors of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia to the infamous Amityville Horror House in New York, with other legendary haunts like Union Cemetery in Connecticut, the Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa, Franklin Castle in Ohio, Arizona’s Bird Cage Theatre, and Los Angeles’ Cecil Hotel.
“Halloween is the one time of year we celebrate being scared, and haunted destinations conjure the thrill of ghosts, mystery, and the unknown,” said Justin Woo, founder of The64.com. “This tournament reveals which stories and places America can’t stop talking about.”
Unlike traditional “Best Of” lists, The64 is 100% community-driven, with no paid placements or editorial bias. America’s Best Haunted Destination tournament marks its spookiest matchup yet, just in time for Halloween travelers and ghost hunters looking for their next scare.
