FAIRLEA- Come out on Saturday, October 25 to Spartan Stadium and watch the Spartan Classic Marching Band Competition.

The GEHS Band was selected to represent the USS West Virginia and the State of West Virginia in Hawaii this December for the Pearl Harbor Commemoration.

Their show is a tribute to WWII veterans and is absolutely incredible!

It takes you from 1940’s America to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, a USO Show with Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and finally, a wrap and tribute to the branches of the armed forces.

Each band member wears the dog tags of a veteran from the USS West Virginia.

As of now and joining Greenbrier East, the following bands will also compete in the Spartan Classic:

Logan High School
Woodrow Wilson High School
Westside High School
Bluefield High School
Parkersburg High School
Shady Spring High School
Liberty (Raleigh) High School
Wayne High School
Winfield High School
James Monroe High School
Greenbrier West High School

Eastern Greenbrier Middle School and Greenbrier East High School as exhibition bands.

For spectators, there will be an array of food trucks, a vendor village for shopping, and the Greenbrier Humane Society will be on site for donations and five dogs whose adoptions have been fully funded.
