Fayetteville, W.Va. (WVDN) – For the 4th consecutive year, the West Virginia Hive Network will host multiple booths at the popular Bridge Day event, the largest annual single-day festival in the state of West Virginia. It was created in 1980 to celebrate the iconic New River Gorge Bridge.
Judy Moore, executive director of the WV Hive and deputy director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA), said the businesses being showcased at the WV Hive booths include:
- Kevbot Chocolate (Kevin Johnson) – https://www.kevbotchocolate.com/about-us
- PetTastic Creations (Charlene Burch) – https://www.facebook.com/people/Pettastic-Creations/61569229169198/
- Spoonie Magic (Cassandra Waller) – https://www.facebook.com/people/Spoonie-Magic/61550553690809/
- WildKat’s Herbal Oasis (Katrina Johnson) – https://www.facebook.com/people/WildKats-Herbal-Oasis/61571906078916/
Moore said visitors will also get a preview of NRGRDA’s PATTERN initiative (Planning and Accelerating Textile Technology and Entrepreneurship Regional Network), designed to build a pipeline of trained industrial sewing technicians to meet the workforce needs of multiple industries—including apparel, automotive, aerospace, medical, upholstery, and other sewn-product sectors. A primary strategy of PATTERN is to accelerate the growth of the outdoor gear manufacturing industry in the New River Gorge region.
Moore encourages the community and visitors of the New River Gorge to stop by booths # 189, 190 and 191 on the south side of the bridge to check out their clients’ unique products, meet the makers, and connect with the NRGRDA and WV Hive team.
Bridge Day takes place Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Fayetteville, W.Va. Nearly 160 vendors are expected to showcase their products and services. Admission is free. More details are available at: https://officialbridgeday.com/bridge-day-info
