Natalie Callison Childers

Natalie Callison Childers, White Sulphur Springs, went to her heavenly home Thursday, September 18, from the Brian Center in Low Moor, VA. She was the second of five children born to Wyatte and Ila Callison on August 18, 1931, in Rainelle, WV.

She was saved at Lilly Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle, WV, early in her life, and played the piano for that church until the family moved to Alvon, WV, in 1947. Natalie was an excellent pianist and used her talents wherever needed on the organ and piano, until she was unable to mount the stairs to the organ. Additionally, she taught Sunday School, VBS, and served her churches in many wonderful ways.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, George Carson Childers; brothers, James Callison (Agnes) and Erman Callison (Marcelene); sister, Emilee Hinzman (Bob Cook and Hayward Hinzman); daughter in law, Debbie Childers; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Camp.

She worked at the drugstore in The Greenbrier Hotel for several years and sold Jafra products from her home.

She was a charter member of Greenbrier Valley Baptist Church, where she served the Lord from the beginning of the church. Her home was always open to family, neighbors, and friends; and she was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roger, David and Jayne (Bill Duncan); her eight grandchildren, Amber Shock (Eric), Brooke Craig (Stephen), Lyndsey Cochran ( Andrew), Brock Duncan (Shannon)Becky Childers (Laramie Myers), Jenny Zink (Will), Carrie Lilly (Charlie), and Dustin Childers (Jeanne); great-grandchildren, Gracie Shock, Isaac Shock, Carson Shock, Caiden Craig, Natalie Craig, Cruz Craig, Aubree Cochran, Cohen Cochran, Raina Childers, Wyatte Childers, Breck Keadle, Cole Keadle, Peyton Keadle, Emily Clendenin, Henry Zink, Memphis Lilly, Lauren Myers, Nash Duncan, due January 2026; her sister, Nancy Camp, several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Greenbrier Valley Baptist Church, 122 Clinebell Road, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986 with Evangelist Kevin Altizer and Rev. Duane Pease officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Greenbrier Valley Baptist Church.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.

Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
