The Hub Cafe in Lewisburg offers student dinners and tutoring each week at no cost

LEWISBURG W.Va. (DayTripper) – Thanks to the West Virginia Office of Child Nutrition’s CACFP Program, students aged 18 and under can enjoy nutritious dinners at no cost every Wednesday through Friday from 4–6 p.m. at The Hub Café (232 Lee Street, Lewisburg). Dinners will be paired with fun activities like board games, crafts, and video games each week.

The Hub is accepting new students for its after-school tutoring program Tuesdays through Fridays from 4-6 p.m. Sessions are scheduled in one-hour blocks and are free of charge thanks to generous volunteers from WVSOM and community members. Contact Van at 304-647-4994 for more info.

Mini Mornings: a bi-monthly gathering for little ones and their grown-ups, Oct. 9 and 23, 9:30-11 a.m.

Mini Mornings perks’ include a $4 PB&J with fruit and a free popsicle for every child. Parents and caregivers receive 10% off on any Hub purchase. Come read, create and connect with other little ones and their guardians! Fun arts and crafts included.

Healthy Start Drive, Sept. 15-Oct. 15.

The Hub will be collecting items for Greenbrier County Schools to help promote healthy classrooms. Germ-busting items like hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes, tissues, Band-Aids, etc. are requested. Anyone who donates items will receive a 15% discount at The Hub Cafe. Call 304-647-4994 for more information.

The Hub Café is a nonprofit café and community space offering educational resources such as tutoring, workshops, events and a learn-and-earn program for teens. The Hub is powered by High Rocks Educational Corporation, whose mission is to educate, empower and inspire the young people in West Virginia.
