Charleston, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Charleston Ballet kicks off its milestone 70th season — GOING PLATINUM: 7 Decades of Dance — with the return of a fan favorite that’s as eerie as it is elegant: DRACULA: THE SEDUCTION. This haunting, high-drama production, choreographed by Artistic Director Kim R. Pauley, takes center stage October 17–18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Charleston Coliseum Theater.

Set to a suspenseful and cinematic score by Emmy Award-winner Anthony DiLorenzo, DRACULA: THE SEDUCTION pulls audiences into a shadowy world of mystery and desire. The story follows Miranda, a captivating gypsy maiden who becomes entangled in the hypnotic grip of the infamous Dracula. A masterful blend of classical ballet and dark fantasy, the production has become a Halloween-season staple, drawing both loyal patrons and curious newcomers eager for something truly unforgettable.

“Bringing DRACULA: THE SEDUCTION back for our 70th season is the perfect way to honor our past and thrill our audiences,” said Artistic Director Kim R. Pauley. “It’s a powerful combination of traditional ballet and theatricality, a haunting love story told through the elegance of dance.”

Tickets are available now at www.thecharlestonballet.com/tickets or by calling 304-342-6541.

Advance pricing: $35 for Adults, $30 for Students/Seniors.
Tickets will also be available at the door for an additional $5. Purchases can also be made through the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center Box Office.

But the night doesn’t end when the curtain falls…

Join the Ballet for the exclusive DRAC’S BITE-NITE, a vampy after-party on

Friday, October 17, from 9:30 p.m. to midnight at SOHO’S at Capitol Market. Sink your teeth into an evening of gourmet bites, signature cocktails, a themed photo shoot by Perry Bennett Photography, and ghoulishly great music by DJ Rhys of LEVEL Entertainment. Whether you’re a creature of the night or just here for the thrills, this is one party not to miss.

Tickets for DRAC’S BITE-NITE are $75 per individual or $130 per couple, with sponsorship opportunities starting at $1,000. Reserve your spot online or by phone through the Charleston Ballet office.
