Vanessa Lee Hughes
Vanessa Lee Hughes, 55, passed away at her home in Frankford, WV, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1970, in Havre De Grace, MD, to David Lee and Ada Elizabeth Milam Jordan, who have both passed away.
Vanessa is survived by her longtime companion, Jimmy Hamrick; her son, Tanner Hughes; and her granddaughters, Emalyn Rose and Alora Jane Hughes. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike Young (Lisa) and Roy Young (Jennifer); her sisters, Shelly Jordan Roberts and Sheena Sheets (Jeff); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Hunter Drake Young.
Vanessa was a homemaker, who took pride in caring for her family and home. She loved dogs, scary movies, and watching ghost shows on TV. Vanessa enjoyed simple moments with her loved ones and liked sharing laughs during family gatherings.
Vanessa will be remembered for her kindness, love for her family, and her sense of humor. She touched the lives of those around her and leaves behind many fond memories.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
It was Vanessa’s wish to be cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time.
