Kyle Calvin Simmons
Kyle Calvin Simmons, 87, of Clintonville, WV, went home from this world, peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Peyton Hospice House.
Born May 8, 1938, in Hinton, WV, he was the beloved son of the late Joe and Watha Moses Simmons. Kyle was a graduate of Rainelle High School, former South Charleston Police Officer, retired Greenbrier County Deputy Sheriff, and dedicated farmer, who treasured farm life above all occupations. He was proud of his service in the 130th Combat Support Squadron of the Air National Guard and his over 52 years as a member of Dunbar Lodge 159 AF & AM as Scottish Rite Mason.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Lynda Brown Simmons; and his children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, who will treasure the legacy he instilled in them all.
A celebration of Kyle’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Clintonville, WV (16155 Midland Trail West, Crawley, WV 24931). Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. prior to service.
