BEAVER, W.Va. (WVDN) — Six students from New River Community and Technical College’s Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program were honored during a pinning ceremony Sept. 5 at the Raleigh County Campus.
All six graduates already have job opportunities lined up, and the college is proud to see them stepping into vital roles in the health care field.
Program Director Morgan Hamby shared an emotional message, reflecting on the determination of the group and how she encouraged them not to give up. She expressed how proud she is of their accomplishments and their future in the profession.
Medical laboratory technicians are the scientists who perform the diagnostic testing that guides physicians in patient care. While their work is often behind the scenes in hospitals and clinics, it is a critical part of health care and patient outcomes.
New River CTC congratulates graduates Jennifer Adkins, Makayla Chambers, Christopher Flanagan, Jennifer Harrah, Tina Huang-Gyovai, and Patricia Killen on their achievements.
