GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – A murder occurred in Greenbrier County near Ronceverte in the early hours of yesterday morning. Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker released the following information:
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a murder that occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday, September 3. The murder occurred a few miles south of Ronceverte. There was also another victim who was severely wounded and is being treated at a trauma center at this time. The suspect is in custody and was arrested by deputies with the assistance of officers from the Lewisburg Police Department, Ronceverte Police Department, and White Sulphur Springs Police Department after a short pursuit in an attempt to flee the scene. The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Team is currently processing the murder scene and will be executing several more search warrants in conjunction with the investigation.
