Williamsburg to Host 2025 Back Home Festival

WILLIAMSBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department (WVFD) is proud to announce the Williamsburg 2025 Back Home Festival, a two-day event scheduled for Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, 2025. All proceeds from the festival will directly support the WVFD. 

Festival Schedule

The festival kicks off on  Saturday, September 6, with a registration at 8:00 AM for an Overland & Off-Road Experience Ride, which is led by Back Roads of Appalachia. The ride is expected to conclude around 4:00 PM. Dry camp sites are also available for attendees.

The day’s musical performances begin at 1:30 PM with Verge of Madness featuring Virgil Kelly. This will be followed by a food auction at 3:30 PM. The Thomas Taylor Band will take the stage at 4:00 PM , and the day will close with a performance by Buddy Allen & Cheat River Band from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A raffle and chance auction drawings are also scheduled for 5:30 PM.

The festival continues on  Sunday, September 7, starting with a worship service featuring music from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, led by Pastor Rick Eilerman. Another food auction and chance auction drawings will take place from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM. The musical entertainment for Sunday will conclude with a performance by the Chosen Road Band from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Food and Activities

A variety of food will be available throughout both days, including homemade BBQ, hotdogs with “all the WV fixings,” nachos with cheese and jalapeños, Dip n Dots ice cream, Amish Sweets, and selections from Jenn’s Cafe.

In addition to the food, the festival will feature vendors and activities. On Saturday, a blacksmith will be present, and there will be a bouncy house and games for kids.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. For more information, please contact the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department at 304-667-8041. The festival will be held at 6571 Shoestring Trail, Williamsburg.
