PRINCETON W.Va. (WVDN) – On Thursday, August 28th, West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) partnered with Princeton Community Hospital to host a recruitment fair, providing community members and hospital staff with the opportunity to learn more about WVJC’s healthcare programs.
The event allowed members of the community to meet the WVJC team and learn more about the school’s newest specialized healthcare training program, Respiratory Therapy.
WVJC’s Respiratory Therapy Program Director, Chris Trotter, was present at the event to answer questions and collaborate with the Princeton Community Hospital staff.
There is currently a shortage of trained respiratory therapists* in West Virginia, and partnerships with regional hospitals, such as Princeton Community Hospital, help address this need for qualified professionals.
“WVJC was excited to hold a recruitment fair at Princeton Community Hospital to share information about our healthcare programs and the career opportunities in the area,” said WVJC President, Samantha Esposito. “We are thrilled to expand our program offerings to include Respiratory Therapy, which helps address critical workforce needs in West Virginia.”
