FAIRLEA W.Va (WVDN) – First Baptist Church of Fairlea is happy to announce that another AWANA year will continue on Wednesday, September 3, at 6:45 p.m.
AWANA, which stands for “Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15), is a free program for children ages three (if potty-trained) through 5th grade, enabling churches and parents to teach their children to “know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.”
This program is open to the community, and all are welcome to join! AWANA is held each Wednesday from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
The unique design of the AWANA program allows children to sign up at any time throughout the school year. However, participants are encouraged to join as soon as possible to begin making friends and being a part of the fun.
A typical AWANA evening includes not only Bible lessons and verse memorization, but also games, mission projects, special themed nights, pledges, snacks, and an AWANA awards store.
For more information, call the church at 304-645-3533, or if possible, preregister AWANA children online at www.fbcfairlea.com. Organizers said, “Hope to see you on September 3!”
