LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The August meeting of the Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club featured speaker Ramsie Monk of the Women’s Health Center of West Virginia (WHC WV). Monk discussed the increasing challenges to women’s health care access in the State.
The meeting was also the kick-off for a fundraising campaign for WHC WV, which will culminate in a special Hollywood movie premiere-style event titled “Lights, Camera, Liberation”, on Thursday, September 11, 6 p.m. at the Lewis Theater, 865 Court Street, Lewisburg.
The event will feature the West Virginia premiere screening of “No One Asked You,” a documentary battling misogyny with comedy. The reception is at 6 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m.
Organizers said, “We invite the community to join us for this special event.”
