FRANKFORD W.Va. (WVDN) – Officials with the Frankford Volunteer Fire Department released the following information regarding a wreck in their area this morning.
This morning Frankford Fire was alerted for a 2 car MVA south of Frankford on US 219. Engine 120-01 & Quick Attack 120-04 responded with 4 personnel. 120 units arrived on scene to a confirmed 2 car MVA with 1 patient entrapped. 120 Firefighters performed extrication and was assisted by Lewisburg FD personnel during extrication operations. Extrication of patient was completed within 12 minutes. WSS EMS provide patient care and tranport to local hospital.
US 219 was closed for approximately 2 1/2 for rescue operations, law enforcement investigation, and vehicle recovery. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation during this road closure. US 219 was reopened to normal traffic flow at approximately 11:45 AM.
