CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) — The West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WV SBDC) is proud to announce that Beth Fish has been appointed as the new Business Coach for the Oak Hill Center, where she will serve entrepreneurs and small business owners across eight counties: Braxton, Fayette, Greenbrier, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Summers and Webster.
Fish joined the WV SBDC in May 2021 as a Business Navigator, quickly becoming a valued resource for startups and existing businesses throughout the region. Most recently, she served as the agency’s Special Projects Coordinator, where she played a vital role in state-level initiatives and internal operations, including project management, event planning, and strategic planning aligned with the SBDC’s mission of statewide economic growth.
With a career that spans small business ownership, sales, consulting, and community development, Fish brings a practical, results-driven approach to her new coaching role. She is passionate about helping business owners build stronger foundations, improve profitability, and access the tools they need to grow.
“I believe in the power of small business to transform communities,” Fish said. “As someone who has owned and operated multiple businesses in West Virginia, I understand both the challenges and the incredible opportunities that exist here. I’m honored to walk alongside our entrepreneurs and help them succeed.”
Her service area includes some of West Virginia’s most dynamic regions: from the outdoor tourism hubs of Fayette and Pocahontas Counties to the deeply rooted Main Streets of Summers and Monroe. She looks forward to offering one-on-one coaching, training, and strategic guidance tailored to each business’s goals and stage of growth.
“I am thrilled to welcome Beth as our newest Business Coach. Over the years, she has been an invaluable asset to the WV SBDC, and we are excited to see her bring her passion to this new role as she helps West Virginia entrepreneurs succeed,” said WV SBDC Director Will Miller.
