PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVDN) – There’s still time to register for New River Community and Technical College’s Automotive Service Technology: Hydraulic Brakes, Steering and Suspension course, beginning Monday, August 25, at Mercer County Technical Education Center.

The six-week evening course runs Monday through Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m., and provides hands-on training in suspension, steering, and hydraulic braking systems. Students will learn four-wheel alignment techniques and gain experience diagnosing and repairing anti-lock brake systems. Tuition for the course is $2,448.

The class is offered through New River CTC’s partnership with Mercer County Technical Education Center, expanding opportunities for workforce training in southern West Virginia.

An additional course, Automotive Service Technology: Electrical Foundations, will follow later this fall, running October 6 through November 20. Students who enroll in both courses will receive a discounted tuition rate of $3,736.

For more information, contact Gloria Kincaid at 304-793-6101 or gkincaid@newriver.edu.
