LEWISBURG- A large crowd gathered on Wednesday afternoon for the reveal and open tour of the new middle school wing at the Greenbrier Community School in Lewisburg.
Located inside the old Bolling School on 413 Oak Street, Greenbrier Community School is an impressive facility that has undergone a complete overhaul since the “old days.”
The middle school wing is located on what would be called the right side of the building. After entering through the main doors, you take the steps up to the second floor and go through the gym and the middle school wing is right there through a set of doors.
There were refreshments for everyone and a lot of kids that attend the school came to the event with their families. The ribbon cutting took place in the main room of the middle school wing as head of the school, Reece Nester, did the honors of cutting the ribbon.
“We have great kids and they have been kind of trying to figure out their own identity in a safe place with this addition and the faculty and the curriculum has all been provided to support them. So, thank you for coming to be a part of it,” Nester said.
“We are thrilled to have a middle school and thrilled that you all are here.”
