PRINCETON and OAK HILL W.Va. (WVDN) – The Charleston Area Medical Center Medicine in Motion Mobile Lung CT Screening Unit will be visiting the CAMC Telemedicine Center in Princeton on Aug. 26 and Oak Hill’s Oak Leaf Festival on Aug. 30.
The Charleston Area Medical Center Medicine in Motion Mobile Mammography Unit will be attending the Oak Leaf Festival as well. The units will offer lung CT and mammography services to eligible patients.
In Princeton, Aug. 26, the lung CT unit will be stationed at 150 Courthouse Rd., Suite 101-E, Princeton, from 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
During the Oak Leaf Festival, Aug. 30, the lung CT and mammography units will be stationed at 430 Main St. W, Oak Hill, from 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
You may be eligible for a lung screening if you are between the ages of 50 and 77, have a smoking history equivalent to smoking one pack per day or more for 20 years, a current or ex-smoker who has quit within the last 15 years or not showing any signs or symptoms of lung cancer, you are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for early detection of lung cancer.
You may be eligible for a mammogram if you are a woman aged 40 and older, have not had a mammogram in the last 365 days, are not pregnant or breastfeeding and are not experiencing breast issues such as lumps, discharge or pain. You are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for early detection of breast cancer.
The CAMC Mobile Medical Fleet is staffed by experts and equipped with the same state-of-the-art digital imaging technology as you would get at a CAMC imaging facility for quick, convenient and accurate screenings.
