LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The State Fair of West Virginia is proud to announce UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care as the presenting sponsor of its Farm to Food Pavilion, an interactive agricultural education experience for children and families. As part of this partnership, the area will be officially named the Farm to Food Pavilion powered by UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care.

Located on the north end of the fairgrounds, the Farm to Food Pavilion offers hands-on learning opportunities focused on where food comes from, how it’s grown, and the important role agriculture plays in everyday life. Designed for children ages 2 through 10, the pavilion features fun, engaging activities, including a kid-sized farmers market, planting stations, a miniature golf course, and, new this year, a Lego station and live piglets!

“We’re excited to welcome UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care as the official sponsor of the Farm to Food Pavilion,” said Kelly Collins, CEO of the State Fair of West Virginia. “This partnership not only helps us expand our agricultural education offerings but also allows families with small children to have an area to get out of the sun, relax and learn about agriculture!”

UPMC-GoHealth provides on-demand care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries at 23 centers in West Virginia. UPMC-GoHealth serves as the front door to UPMC’s world class healthcare network with easy referral to specialty and acute care services when appropriate.

UPMC-GoHealth centers are open 365 days a year, including holidays, giving busy families a more affordable option for high-quality, fast and efficient care outside of emergency rooms. For fairgoers who need care, UPMC-GoHealth’s Lewisburg center is less than three miles from the fairgrounds and open daily, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“Wellness starts in our community, which is why UPMC-GoHealth is proud to support events and programs like the state fair and youth sports that bring us together and inspire us to embrace fun, friendship, good food and active lifestyles,” said Jim Griesi, vice president of operations for UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care.

The 100th Annual State Fair of West Virginia is taking place August 7–16, 2025, in Lewisburg. The Farm to Food Pavilion powered by UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care, will be open daily and is free with paid gate admission.
