WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS- The Greenbrier officially announced on Wednesday that the WVU Mountaineer women’s basketball team will face perennial top 10 opponent Duke in Colonial Hall on November 14, 2025, as part of the ladies’ portion of the Greenbrier Tipoff.
Both WVU and Duke each made the NCAA Tournament a season ago and almost met each other in the Sweet 16, but WVU lost a close game to North Carolina before getting to that point.
It will be just the third all-time meeting between the two schools. The first time they played each other was back in 1996.
Last season, the Radford and Navy women’s team played at the Greenbrier and was the first women’s basketball game to ever be played at the historical Resort.
The men’s Greenbrier Tipoff will be a week later (Nov. 21 and 23) with South Carolina, Northwestern, Butler, and Virginia making up the field.
For the women’s game, tickets will go on sale on August 21 with a special pre-sale on August 20.
