Ilamae Morgan
Ilamae Morgan of Ronceverte passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Lewisburg Healthcare Center with her family by her side.
She was born August 7, 1937, in Union, WV, and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lena Bostic Dowdy.
Ilamae was a member of Ronceverte Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death, other than her parents, were her husband of 55 years, Teddy Gray Morgan; stepmother, Lottie Dowdy; her son, Danny E. Morgan; grandson, Todd Morgan; sister, Lorene Helvey; and brothers, Mason, Glenn, and Everett Dowdy.
Ilamae leaves behind sons, Steve Morgan (Susan), Barry Morgan (Michelle), and Bryan (Cindy) Morgan, all of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Tony (Heather) Morgan, Dustin (Amanda) Morgan, Amanda (Anthony) Ellis, Ashley (Tyler) Freeman, Devin (Megan) Morgan, and Abby (Malachai) McCutcheon; 6 great-grandchildren; special sisters-in-law who were more like sisters, Teena Porterfield, Brenda Hunt, and Carol Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the Ronceverte Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Howdock and Pastor Ken Hawes officiating, entombment will follow the services at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lewisburg.
The family will be greeting family and friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to either the Ronceverte Baptist Church, 437 Main St. West, Ronceverte, WV 24970 or to Lewisburg Healthcare Center, 979 Rocky Hill Road, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
