HINES W.Va. (WVDN) – On July 27, 2025, at approximately 7:50 a.m., the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Hines area of Greenbrier County regarding the discovery of a deceased female. Preliminary observations at the scene indicate the individual was struck by a vehicle during the early morning hours of the same date.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the public. If you have surveillance cameras facing U.S. Route 60 between Anjean Road and the CCC Road in Hines, please review any footage recorded between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on July 27, 2025. Investigators are seeking to identify a female wearing a white shirt and black-and-white camouflage-style leggings.
In addition, the Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a vehicle of interest — a 2015 model Ford Focus — that may be missing a passenger-side mirror, have a broken headlight, and potentially other damage consistent with a recent collision.
