Boyd Lee Brown

Boyd Lee Brown, 72, of Frankford, WV, departed his earthly home at Bo-De Farm to join his Lord and Savior, on July 19th, 2025.

He was born August 24, 1952, in Ronceverte, WV, to the late Byrl Boyd and JoAnn Adams Brown. He was a graduate of Greenbrier East High School and attended West Virginia University.

Boyd was a member of the Frankford Presbyterian Church and attended the Frankford United Methodist Church, where he participated in the charge choir, the Men’s Fellowship group, and served as the Chairman of the Church Council.

He was a dairy and beef farmer most of his life, but also skilled in the construction and horticulture industries. Boyd held memberships with the Frankford Ruritan Club, WV Farm Bureau, Lewisburg Elks Club, Greenbrier Masonic Lodge # 42 AF & AM, as well as a Beni Kedem Shriner. Boyd was passionate about local youth sport and civic organizations, agriculture, gardening, golf, faith and friends, but his love for his family remained the center of his life.

In addition to his parents, Boyd was preceded in death by his son, Butler Boyd Brown; and his brother, Clarence Wayne “C.W.” Brown.

Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife and caretaker of 46 years, Deborah Ames Brown, and daughter, Sara Brown (Shane Johnson) of Frankford, WV; daughter-in-law, Letisha “Tish” Cole Brown and his cherished grandson and best little buddy, Griffin Butler Brown, of Morgantown, WV; sisters, Valerie Warren (Ralph “Chub”) of Lewisburg, WV, and Robin Hall (Darrell) of Pfafftown, NC; brothers, Rodney Brown (Susan) of Deerfield Beach, FL, Terry Brown (Evelyn) and Brian Brown of Frankford, WV; sister-in-law, Amy Brown Pence (Greg Pence) of Ocala, FL; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25th, 2025, at the Frankford United Methodist Church with Pastor Pete Scott and Pastor Tyler Hylton officiating; graveside service to follow at the Morningside Cemetery in Renick, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can made in Memory of Boyd Lee Brown to the Frankford United Methodist Church, 1022 Washington St. E., Lewisburg, WV 24901; Frankford Presbyterian Church, 160 Wise St., Frankford, WV 24938; or the Frankford Ruritan Club, 323 Dick Spencer Rd., Frankford, WV 24938.

Those serving as pallbearers include his brothers, Rodney Brown and Terry Brown; brother-in-law, Darrell Hall; nephew, Jordan Brown; and special friends, Shane Johnson, Curtis Hill, Rick Hawver, and Ron Eggleston.
