GREENBRIER W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center swim team celebrated the end of the summer season with an intrasquad meet and fun relays. Overall, there were 21 personal best times and 7 first-time swims.
The most improved swimmer was Jess Peyatt, whose times dropped by more than 60% over the course of the season.
New short course team records in their competition categories were set this summer by Zoey Hobbs (100Y free, 100Y IM), Milyn Neumann (50Y and 100Y breast), Emily Hobbs (50Y free, 50Y back) and Tianna Allen (50Y and 100Y free, 50Y breast).
The Sea Dragons have been awarded a Community Impact grant from the USA Swimming Foundation to expand access to swim team, including fee waivers for children in foster care.
