CALDWELL W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier River Watershed Association is sponsoring a guided nature walk on Saturday, July 19, at 9 a.m., at Caldwell on the Greenbrier River Trail.
Park at the larger parking area at the GR Trail at Caldwell, and the group will walk north to the big rocks. Come a little early for coffee and muffins! Great for both adults and kids alike! Bring binoculars, water shoes, and a towel.
It will be led by Adrianne Thackery, an Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area AmeriCorps member serving with Monongahela National Forest’s Watershed team in Marlinton. Since completing their bachelor’s in environmental studies, Adrianne has also served with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Georgia and a county soil and water conservation district in New York. As a naturalist, Adrianne is always looking for opportunities to learn more about nature and participate in citizen science.
Please keep an eye on the Greenbrier Watershed Facebook page for inclement weather cancellation or delay, facebook.com/greenbrier.
