BECKLEY W.Va. (WVDN) – WVU Tech welcomes Rhonda Donaldson to the Golden Bear Team as the institution’s newest librarian.Donaldson, a native of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, joins WVU Tech from Shepherd University, where she worked for 13 years as Coordinator of Research Services. Prior to working at Shepherd, Donaldson worked at Oklahoma Panhandle State and West Virginia University’s Morgantown campus.

“I’m glad to be back in West Virginia, but I’m also glad to be back in the WVU system,” Donaldson said.

She started her career working in Morgantown libraries as an undergraduate student. She received her master’s degree in library science from the University of Pittsburgh.

In her free time, Donaldson says she enjoys quilting, reading, graphic novels, and has recently developed an interest in K-Pop, K-dramas, and researching all things South Korea.

She’ll begin her role at Tech on July 15, 2025.
