An official request from a mayoral candidate for a recount of ballots for the position of Mayor from the White Sulphur Springs Municipal Election on June 10, 2025 has been received. This recount will involve the ballots from all four (4) precincts: Precinct 72, 73, 74, and 75.
The Canvass Board (City Council) meeting scheduled for tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 18, 2025 is cancelled as the election cannot be certified at that time.
The recount for the position of Mayor from the White Sulphur Springs Municipal Election of June 10, 2025 will take place at City Hall on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 6:30p.m. The Canvass Board (City Council) will be joined by four (4) Election Poll Workers to process the recount, and a request was made for a representative from the WV Secretary of State’s Office to be on-hand to monitor the proceedings. The recount will be open to viewing by the public.
