MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WVDN) — Business owners, attorneys, accountants and professionals from across the region will gather in Morgantown next week for the first annual Power Up 2025 Business Conference, a full-day event designed to equip attendees with the tools and knowledge to strengthen their organizations and protect their bottom lines.

The conference will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott in Morgantown. Registration is $175, which includes a hot breakfast buffet, taco bar lunch, all-day coffee service, and up to six hours of continuing education credits—approved CLE for attorneys (including one hour of ethics) and CE for accountants.

With only 50 seats available, the event is expected to sell out. Registration is open now at www.patriciamcdade.com.

“We created Power Up 2025 to help professionals navigate the real-world challenges they face every day—legal questions, financial pitfalls, fraud risks and marketing missteps,” said Patricia Porter, conference organizer and founder of Paragon Business Education Services. “Our goal is to offer practical, actionable insight from experts you can trust—and send every attendee home with ideas they can put to work immediately.”

Featured speakers include:

Frank Vitale, President of Forge Business Solutions and bestselling author (keynote)

Patricia Porter, business consultant, forensic accountant and certified fraud examiner
Attorney John Brooks, small business legal advisor and contracts expert
Bethany Hornbeck, President and CEO of Apis Creative

Session topics will cover business structure and legal risk, contract dos and don’ts, tax planning and audit readiness, fraud detection and digital marketing strategies.

The event is sponsored by Barnett Excavating, Laurel Builders, Inc., The Shack Neighborhood House and the Porter Foundation.

For sponsorship opportunities or additional information, contact Patricia Porter at (681) 285-0618 or pmcdade@patriciamcdade.com.
