LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB) is set to enhance regional connectivity with the introduction of a new seasonal daily flight to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), effective June 1 through October 31, 2025.
Operated by Contour Airlines, the Embraer Regional Jet service will offer one-way fares starting at $79, providing direct access to one of the world’s most connected airports. This addition complements the existing service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), further expanding travel options for residents and visitors in the area.
The seasonal route is part of a temporary modification under the Essential Air Service (EAS) program, aiming to bolster tourism and business travel to the region. The Greenbrier, a historic resort in White Sulphur Springs, has long prioritized accessibility with previous enhancements including a train station in the early 1900s and the opening of the airport in 1969.
Mayor Beverly White was in attendance and said she is excited for the future flights and hopes to see more people taking advantage of the new flights.
