A speeding emergency medical services ambulance, with motion blur

WAYNE W.Va. (WVDN) – On Sunday, June 1, at approximately 3:52 p.m., Tpr. R. M. Endicott responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident along WV RT 37, near Wayne. The victim, Chelse Nicole Aldridge, 29, of Proctorville, OH, was traveling west on WV RT 37 when she crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle in a head-on crash. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the other vehicle, Marcus Seth Dearnell, was transported by air to Cabell Huntington Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Dearnell’s wife and two juvenile children were also transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital for treatment.

The victim is being transported to the WV Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. This crash remains under investigation.
