GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – Two Greenbrier County high school seniors recently received recognition from the General Andrew Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their demonstrated leadership ability, military discipline and understanding of the importance of Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (JROTC). Cloie Cochran of Greenbrier East High School and Larissa Wickline of Greenbrier West High School were the recipients and are graduating seniors. The criteria for winning this award required them to be in academic good standing and have shown qualities of dependability and good character. A monetary award was included with the certificate.
DAR member Marit Withrow announced and presented the award to Cochran, and Ruth Sturgill, Chair of the Awards Committee, General Andrew Lewis Chapter, announced and presented the award to Wickline.
