GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – Under the U.S. Constitution, every adult citizen of the United States has the right to vote. With that right comes the responsibility of every voter to familiarize themselves with the candidates and their positions on important issues. It’s that time of year again and as voters take to the polls, Greenbrier County municipalities are opening their doors for early voting. “We appreciate all citizens who come out and vote,” says Lewisburg City Clerk Crystal Ratliff.
The City of Lewisburg would like to remind all citizens within city limits that early voting has begun. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Early voting will be held at City Hall in Council Chambers and will conclude on Saturday, June 7, 2025. For more information, call 304-645-2080. For Ronceverte citizens, early voting is currently underway on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In-person voting will take place at City Hall, which is located on 693 Edgar Avenue in Ronceverte, West Virginia. A Mayoral candidate is one who is responsible for a wide range of duties, including representing the interest of the citizens. White Sulphur Springs candidate Thomas Taylor recently spoke of the issue that will be first on his agenda should he win the election. “My first order of business if I’m elected is to bring forward a Comprehensive Nuisance Abatement Ordinance to ensure our neighborhoods are cleaned up,” Taylor said. “I chose to run for Mayor of White Sulphur Springs to move our city forward for all citizens. I want White Sulphur Springs to be a shining example of what a municipality should be,” he added.

Alderson voters can cast their early ballot in the Council Room at City Hall beginning on Saturday, May 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekday voting will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at City Hall. Early voting will conclude on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. City Hall is located on 311 S. Monroe Street in Alderson, West Virginia. For more information, call 304-445-2916.
Voters in Western Greenbrier County will have the ability to submit their early votes through the United States Postal Service. Rainelle Mayor Andrea (Andy) Pendleton is running for re-election and is proud of the city officials that currently serve this small, patriotic town. “We have a lot of things going on in our community that we need a lot of help on,” Pendleton says. “The ones that work here are hard workers, and they’re here to stay. I feel good about the people that I have and appreciate them so much.” After years of service to the Rainelle community, Mayor Pendleton’s love for this small town has never faltered. “I care about Rainelle, and I love making a difference,” she says. “I love the people in Rainelle.”
