Local Earns Degree in Pharmacy

RUPERT W.Va. (WVDN) – Shannon Adrian Brunzo-Hager graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a degree in Pharmacy.

Brunzo-Hager also studied at West Virginia University, where he graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He then entered pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and graduated on May 12 as a Doctor of Pharmacy. He received the 2025 Outstanding Student Pharmacist Award and the Community Pharmacy Leadership Award. Prior to college, Brunzo-Hager attended Greenbrier West High School.

Brunzo-Hager will begin his career as a pharmacist in August at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He is the son of April Hager of Rupert and grandson of Mary Hager of Rupert.
