LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) — Downtown Lewisburg will once again come alive with art, music and community spirit on Friday, June 6, for its monthly First Friday event. This popular tradition transforms the historic streets into a vibrant hub of cultural activity, inviting residents and visitors to explore the town’s unique offerings.

Beginning in the early evening, typically around 5 p.m., and extending into the late hours, First Friday provides a platform for Lewisburg’s thriving arts scene.

The air will be filled with the sounds of live music emanating from various venues and potentially spilling onto the sidewalks. Restaurants and pubs, such as Stardust Cafe, the Wild Bean and others, often feature local musicians, creating a lively soundtrack for the evening.

Beyond the arts, Lewisburg’s charming boutiques and shops extend their hours, offering special promotions and a relaxed atmosphere for browsing unique merchandise. It’s an ideal opportunity to support local businesses and discover one-of-a-kind treasures.

The town’s diverse culinary scene will also be a draw, with restaurants buzzing with activity and offering First Friday specials.

Adding to the community feel, local organizations and non-profits may have information booths or host interactive activities throughout the downtown area.

While specific details for the June 6 First Friday are still emerging, those interested in attending are encouraged to visit the Greenbrier Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau website (greenbrierwv.com) and follow their favorite Lewisburg businesses and organizations on social media for the latest updates on participating venues and scheduled events.

First Friday in Lewisburg offers a delightful way to experience the town’s rich cultural tapestry and connect with the community in a festive and engaging setting. Mark your calendars for June 6 and prepare to enjoy an evening of art, music and more.
