MAXWELTON W.Va. (WVDN) — Local outdoor enthusiasts convened at the Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company on Thursday, May 8, for a community meetup focused on the region’s natural resources and recreational opportunities. The event featured presentations from Mon Forest Towns and the Greenbrier Grotto.
Mon Forest Towns, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable tourism and community development in and around the Monongahela National Forest, shared information about local trails, outdoor activities, and efforts to support gateway communities.
The Greenbrier Grotto, a local caving organization, provided insights into the unique world of caves in the Greenbrier Valley, discussed safe caving practices, conservation efforts, and the geological significance of the region’s karst landscape.
The gathering provided an informal setting for individuals passionate about the outdoors to connect, learn about local resources and engage with organizations dedicated to preserving and promoting the natural beauty of the Greenbrier Valley. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and network with fellow outdoor adventurers.
