Pedestrian struck on bicycle in Hico

Hico, W.Va. (WVDN) – On Monday, May 05, 2025, Corporal S. G. Milam and S/Tpr J. J. Stewart responded to a vehicle collision with a pedestrian on a bicycle. The collision occurred along Midland Trail (U.S. 60) near Hico, WV. Troopers observed the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was life flighted to Charleston Area Medical Center General with life threatening injuries. U.S. 60 remained closed while the traffic investigation was conducted. The WVSP crash reconstruction team was contacted to assist.
