LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Walmart Supercenter in Lewisburg officially reopened its doors Friday morning at 6 a.m. following a comprehensive renovation aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for local residents.
Located at 1976 Jefferson Street North, the store has undergone significant upgrades, including improved lighting, updated signage and expanded departments. The renovations are part of Walmart’s broader initiative to remodel over 650 stores nationwide this year, as announced earlier in 2024.
To commemorate the reopening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held outside the store, attended by local officials, community leaders, the local marching band and Walmart representatives.
The renovations have led to several improvements within the store. The grocery section has been reorganized for better flow, and the electronics department now features an expanded selection of products. Additionally, the pharmacy has been relocated to a more accessible area, and the deli section has been redesigned to offer a wider variety of fresh foods.
Walmart has also introduced new services, including a self-checkout area and a customer service kiosk, to streamline the shopping process. These upgrades aim to provide customers with a more efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.
As part of the reopening celebrations, Walmart donated money to the Lewisburg Food Bank and to the Greenbrier County Humane Society and the Lewisburg police. These donations reflect Walmart’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations and initiatives.
The Lewisburg Walmart Supercenter is now open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering a wide range of products and services to meet the needs of the community. Customers can expect continued improvements as Walmart strives to provide a top-notch shopping experience.
