LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Carnegie Hall teaching artist Lynda Weischowsky returns to Carnegie Hall with a Stained-Glass 3D Hanging Basket workshop on Saturday, April 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In this beginner friendly “spring is coming” theme, students will create an elegant hanging basket of ivy in glass. Using pre-cut pieces of glass, this project is constructed in a layered fashion, using wire wrapping and decorative soldering. These beautiful vines are very forgiving to work with and the results are very lifelike-but no watering required. While no glass cutting skills are needed, we will be assembling the basket with lead came. Students are encouraged to bring a work apron or shirt.
Registration is $95/members and $105/nonmembers, with automatic scholarships for students 18 years of age and under that reduce the class registration fee to only $25.
