Cedar Grove, W.Va. (WVDN) – On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, Tony Burdette, 18-year-old male from Cedar Grove, was walking north bound on the railroad tracks near Williams Street in Cedar Grove, West Virginia. Mr. Burdette did not move off the tracks for a north bound train from Norfolk and Southern which then struck Mr. Burdette. Mr. Burdette was then treated by KCEAA and transported to CAMC General Hospital. At approximately 5:00 am Mr. Burdette succumbed to his injuries.
