BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVDN) — New River Community and Technical College hosted its annual Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. The event celebrated the academic achievements and leadership potential of students accepted into this prestigious international honor society.
The ceremony recognized students who met the distinguished qualifications for induction into Phi Theta Kappa, which include academic excellence and a commitment to personal and professional growth. As a chapter of the largest international honor society for two-year colleges, PTK at New River CTC continues to promote scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship among students.
The event welcomed new inductees, their families, college administrators, faculty, and staff from New River CTC. Guests enjoyed a formal induction process, inspiring remarks from PTK members and college leadership, and a celebratory reception following the ceremony.
New River CTC congratulates these students on their achievement and are proud to be a part of their journey.
